for small businesses

My top picks for tech, apps and fantastic service providers that I know and trust all recommended by The Ecommerce Assistant.

The only email marketing choice for small businesses using Shopify. Klaviyo is the most sophisticated platform for sending emails and the one that Shopify now recommend too. If you're interested in learning more (once you've signed up) take a look at my online course which helps you get set up.

Shopify is the only website platform I work with and I believe it's the best for any small business looking to sell products online. Shopify can be as simple as you need it but you can also scale your business with it so you won't need to re-platform when you're hitting 100k months! If you're interested in an unlimited free trial, just get in touch and I'll set you up.

The fantastic platform I use to host my courses and free content. Searchie is the most flexible, easy-to-use solution to create and share content through digital courses, memberships and more. It's primarily video based but has other call features and is super accessible so great for your students.

My favourite app for planning my Instagram content. Planoly is great for visually seeing how your feed looks and also prepping content ahead of time. I use the free account and it gives you access to one social account and up to 30 uploads each month.

I use Trello for planning my workload, client pipeline and content planning, basically the behind-the-scences of my business but I also use it for project managing Klaviyo and Shopify projects with clients as it's also a great tool for collaboration.

Doing it For The Kids

A community for freelancing and self employed parents that has helped me gain clients, ask silly questions and feel a part of a team when I am working alone. I highly recommend to any freelancing parent looking for a place to vent and feel inclduded.

Studio Cotton Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is an ultra-simple mini-membership hosted by the fantastic web design team at Studio Cotton, led by website genius Aime Cox. It's a fun and friendly place where you can ask any questions website or business related and be supported by other likeminded small biz owners.

Laura White Freelance

My go-to gal for all things SEO. Laura is an all-round digital marketing extraordinaire and helps a range of small businesses looking to improve their digital marketing. I have worked with Laura on multiple SEO projects and she's helped me with my own SEO so I know how great she is.

Goldfinch Marketing

I worked with Christina from Goldfinch Marketing back in my employed days and we've collaborated and supported each other since moving to self employment. She helps small online businesses with digital marketing and creating Wordpress websites and is also an experienced brand and graphic designer.
